Then what would be the point of the tutorial I made. I basically made it so that people no longer have an excuse for missing the thank button. XD
Actually, I think the thank button should be more noticeable. Make it big and obnoxious.

Right, now we have the thank stuff settled, I'm gona to suggest another type of ranking here, how bout adding another type of system that can differ degree of skin makers? My idea here is also a star ranking system, still having and using the usual thanking system (more thank = better rank) but adding another different ranking system using thanks, more stars equals how good the quality of your skins averagely are (e.g. 1 stars your = your skin quality are often crap and 5 stars your skin quality is really high).

To get higher number of stars, you need to depend on the average of thanks per skin topic. For example, A has 10 posts and your current thank count is 20 making your average thanks per skin topic 2 thanks per post and get like 2 stars, then B only have 5 skins topics but 15 thanks, making it 3 thanks per skin topic. Altough A has higher thank count than B but B has better average thank count so B's rank is better than A, so B deserves to get more stars than A. The reason for this is to differ ppl from making skins very oftenly but has less decent skin quality (like me) from the ones that makes really good skins. So, opinions guys?

But pretty much only the active users thank and there are so many post and your post gets unnoticed after 1-2 days.
It would be super hard to rack up a rank then keeping it up,like yuo need to make 10 HD original skins everyday,but that takes a long time and effort.

I guess it should be like
Views = artist rank
Thanks = stars next to your rank showing how much popular are you.

i still think using views for ranks are a bad idea... due to the fact, some people only click on certain topics that only interest them, and it is easier to abuse it. About solving the unnoticed post, why not make a "This season's top skins" or "Skins with the most thanks" or some stuffs like that? Cuz they are quite worth mentioning to me and some people are too lazy to browse through the whole forums to search for skins. And most of the good skins i know are original ideas where people won't know it existed and will not search for it

Indeed. And btw, the less amount of users who actually thank isn't too bad at all. At least it makes an easy to set and follow standard of how much thanks exactly is called good. For me, something above 15 thanks already made me feel like a god skin maker xD. The forums is still new, potential people here only have a few, the 4 Senpais who already reached Senior Artist rank is already halfway to getting Designer rank. Sooner or later, we will have those who have reached over 1200 thanks here.
