snapeslayer why cant i see my reference?

I can't tell what the problem is without looking at it. Here are a couple things you can try that might help.

-Make sure the image is locked in an ortho view. (by pressing num1, num7, or num3, and then pressing num5) [I talk about locking into views at 5:15 of the indepth vid]
-Make sure the background image checkbox is on, the opacity is at 50%-100%, and the file you choose is an image file. (image may need to be scaled) [I go over reference images at 7:40]
-Where it says axis under the background image drop dialogue, check to see if it is on "all views", if not change it.
-If you are in a render view, you must go to the render tab in the properties panel (camera icon on the top right), go down to film, and check the [transparent] box.

Make sure you have the latest version. The default settings should be all the same since I used a blender from download. If none if this works, or if you still have questions, send me a message.

Thanks,
-NapeSlayer

Hi,

Thanks a TON for this tutorial. Turned my ryuuko from Sh*tty to a little less Sh*tty. I've texture painted the model, but how do I save what i painted as a .png image?

Thanks.

At the bottom right of the uv/image layout. click on image, and save as image. I go over how to save image textures at 14:20 of the second video (AOTTG RC BlenderSkinMaking). If you have any further questions, message me.

Thanks,
-NapeSlayer
