 Post subject: Level Editor RAGE

:evil: What is up with this map editor? I make a simple map, and every time I copy and paste and load it it some objects disappear. I tried to make a castle thing, and when I loaded it up, it was missing two walls! When I tried again, it was missing a wall and the floor! :shock: What is going on :(

That haven't happened to me after the editor got an Copy button when you view the script...
Are you sure you copied all the text when loading it up?

If yes, I don't know, sorry :(

Probably off topic, but when I tried manually change location, color, size on an object in the script, the object would not appear or it was glitched... Did you edit the script by hand?

The level editor has a limit on how many objects can be on at once. I normally copy the part of the script that contains the outer shell in order to create new structures without overlap. At least, there is a limit to what can be imported.

I've had up to 800 objects in one map, not a problem yet.. I hope :s

Lucky, I reached somewhere in the 150 range and it wouldn't go. I'll double check.

Someone mentioned a Copy button, I'll try that, I was just using copy/paste shortcuts.

Ok, this is still bothering me. I'm clicking View Script, clicking Copy, then opening a multiplayer server. I press P for the RC mod menu, go to Map, press Command-V to paste it in. Then I press save and load. I have about 70 objects in the map so far, and it seems to be random cuboids that "get lost." It's kinda annoying because, if I notice one big thing missing, I have to check everything else and make sure it's still there. I can't remember if I saved the code to a word processor this time, so maybe my word processor is the problem? I guess I'll just see how it goes. Thanks for your time!

I'll PM it to you, I've replaced the missing parts, and added stuff so it's closer to 120 objects now, I haven't had an issue since 70 objects.

Oh, I replaced the parts that disappeared on this one. If it happens again I'll let you know before I replace the parts.

IT DID IT AGAIN. I don't know how many objects I'm up to now... but I placed a House2 (resized it to make it long and skinny), and when I booted it up it was gone :cry:

So I was using it, the house was there, it worked fine, I go back to the editor and add a couple gas supply, cuboids and leaves, (no modification to the house) and the house disappears. :?
