I don't see why not. The ban on thank-selling only applies to that, the thanking system. If you want to sell skins or do commissions for money that's fine.

Well obviously there will be some restrictions. If you chain like 5 adfly links for every single image link, we will have issues. If you put adfly links on content that doesn't belong to you, we will have issues.

I've already seen forms of commissions in the "skin requests" forum. This is fine, if the person requesting the skin states he/she is willing to pay. Otherwise, you can't just reply "I'll do the skin if you pay me 20 bucks". Not in the spirit of the forum.

The skin-posting sections are for skins only, pretty much the reason why thank-selling was banned was because there were too many posts that weren't actually available skins. So yes, commissions are allowed, but only in the requests section. Do not post a skin with a price tag on it. I might make selling skins a thing in a separate subforum, but I don't see how it's really viable since image links are pretty easy to share. But If there is enough interest I will create a separate section for artists to advertise that they are accepting commissions, pretty much any art-related community has something similar.
