This is a very simple and obvious tutorial, but the basic idea is make either the right or left blade entirely transparent, while the other has the actual blade.

There is an obvious flaw, in which, the hand without the blade has an empty blade handle, making it look kinda awkward from the front.

The male skin doesn't exactly sync up with the female model, so this costume should fix that.
