Alright so I've decided that this section would probably be a better place for this topic than in the help section so I'm re-posting it here.
I figured I'd try and be helpful and post a thread that has links to tutorials or helpful links on the forums. At the moment I am just going to categorize things using user's names and then a list of topics below their names. If you don't see what you're looking for in this topic then please use the Search function here at AoTSkins or use Google. If those two options fail to help you find answers then please search the forums manually before creating a new topic.
I'll add more later on when I look through topics but I'll just leave what I've got so far so I can see what people think about this topic.
Q and A:
Question #1 - Where do I get the RC Mod?
Answer - You can get it here
Question #2 - Can you make eye patches and multi-colored eyes?
Answer - No, the skins are symmetrical/mirrored.
Question #3 - How do I take screenshots?
Answer - You can either use the printscreen button or download a program that takes screenshots.
Question #4 - The game isn't working so how do I post screenshots of my skin ingame?
Answer - Use the Skin Testing Client found on the RC Mod's website.
Question #5 - Where can I get the default skybox files? I downloaded the skin file from RC but it just has transparency with a few clouds.
Answer - You can get the default skybox without transpareny here.
Question #6 - .. how does one bookmark something so they can find this again? (without using the browser)
Answer - At the top of the page under the topic's title there is a Bookmark and Subscribe button. Clicking either one will save the topic to your User Control Panel. To access your subscriptions or bookmarks you go to User Control Panel - Manage subscriptions or Manage bookmarks.

Ok so i have realised most people aren't use to the new topic editor.
so in this tutorial im going to show you how to make a skin topic.
In this tutorial im going to use parentheses () instead of square brackets [] for this to work when ever you see a ( replace it with [
and what you see ) replace with ]
now, first you are going to want to make a title. to make a title you more then likly will want it as large text so you put

make sure to have /size at the end of where your title is.
but now you want to make it colorfull right?
so now you nee to put in the color bbcode like this

make sure to put /color at the end.
and where it says "code"
you want to put the HTML color code there.

Now that you have the title down, you want to place a description of the skin or what ever else you want.
Tipically you leave it at regular size, but personaly i make it yellow because it looks nicer.

This is a very simple and obvious tutorial, but the basic idea is make either the right or left blade entirely transparent, while the other has the actual blade.

There is an obvious flaw, in which, the hand without the blade has an empty blade handle, making it look kinda awkward from the front.

Good evening my creative friends!
I wanna show you how to create a skin
in the new RC mod version.
1. First we have to think about which model we
want for each part. We need to choose a hair model and
a costume as well. (Of course a cape if you want one)
We dont need eyes because theyre just textures
on the face.
2. So now we know which modells we need and which not.
Next step is to create our "Build".
We can choose one of the sets as shown.

3. When you found your hairstyle and costume you
go and write down the hair number and the costume number.
(Normal people can keep it in mind as well)
4. The next step is to download the skins folder from
the RC Mod homepage!

5. Well done! Now you have the skins and the hair/costume numbers!
Now we will sort out what we need, this is pretty easy :3

Okay, for example... I took hair 10 and costume 1
What will i do now?
In the folders you will find the textures numbered.
In the hair folder for example something like...
Female_Hair_01, Female_Hair_02...
I chose hair 9 so i delete everything except of my Female_Hair_09!
Same for costume.
I took costume 1 so i delete every texture except of costume 1.
6. Now you should have your Costume and your Hair texture.
Next step is to take every texture you need else.
Skin, gas, 3D gear... etc.
Then you put it together and you will have everything you need.
7. Now you can start editing!

8. At the end you do the same as always.
You upload your textures (imgur.com or something similar)
take the direct link and insert the links to the correct places.
When you want to play now don't forget to choose the correct set!
Congrats! You succesfully created your skin :3

I'm sorry for the wait i was thinking of more sets to make but i think i have enough for this post. so this post is where you can find anime accurate costumes, 3dmg,and the capes from attack on titan the costumes are based on the characters uniform`s from the anime i will post the male costumes later since i have made the male coats but , also this is kinda why this is a work in progress post i have not made the coatless versions of males or females i only made the the v-neck`s styles coatless skins not the standard coatless skins but i will make them soon, if you have any characters costumes from the anime let me know by PM or replying if you have any questions about the skins let me know,still not taking request so don't ask me, if there are any questions or problems with the skins reply, if you like smack that thank button, Feedback is much appreciated, ENJOY!!!!!! :D :D :D

I know this is new to this kind of situations but, this is the only way that I can support Paris on their horrific tragedy. I honorably give everyone this blade. You can use it as long as you want. Points:
Points are determined by the the number of thanks and medals you have received. 10 Thanks = 1 point, and you can check all of your medals & how many points they are worth in your profile page.
You can receive thanks for posting a thread in any of the skin-sharing subforums, or in the tutorials subforum. Ideally, if you like a skin, you will press the "thanks" button located near the bottom right to show your appreciation.
Contests will be held both weekly and on special occasions, and you will receive a medal worth a certain number of points for placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. If you work as a group, each member will receive a medal. Medals will usually be worth 1 to 3 points for weekly competitions.
Ranks:
Newbie Artist: 3 points
Veteran Artist: 10 points
Senior Artist: 25 points
Designer: 50 points
Veteran Designer: 80 points
Senior Designer: 125 points |

Heyyy guys! This is basically an 'image dump' because i`m uploading a bunch of eyes that have little to nothing in common with one another! Yaaay! The reason why is because I wasn`t sure how some of these eyes would do on their own and don`t think I could have described them all. So I decided to package all of these into one post.

Ello there! Welcome to my first post..! You aren`t as excited as me I bet...but no matter! x3 This is my moon gas I made a couple months back. I wanted to start making skins for awhile now, however..I`ve always been nervous about it. This was my first (but not last) skin...so it won`t be the best. That won`t stop me from posting it though! We all start somewhere! I did a few versions of this before I was actually comfortable with it. I felt like the stars helped the look personally. But enough description for now! Here it is, people viewing this!

One year later and I return to this post. Not to comment or reply to anything specific. But to add on to it. I`ve learned a lot since I first posted this. I still have room for improvement but I don`t think that`ll ever change. To celebrate me being on aotskins for a year along with this post being up for a year I have remade it...kind of. Anyway I won`t ramble on. Let`s get the skin up!
