As the title would suggest, I've been working on an Outside The Walls map, based on the 57th Expedition, it currently isn't ready for me to release, however I will try to keep this thread updated as the map comes along.

I apologise to anyone who may have come onto this post in the past two years to find nothing, or commented requesting the script, I took a lengthy hiatus from the game to focus on more pressing things. Note that I am not and have no intention to continue working on this map, deeming it as having accomplished most if not all goals I set out to achieve when construction began. Now, well overdue, the map script:

Features (16/10/2015)
Humans spawn inside Karanese District.
Multiple abandoned villages scattered around.
Unfinished forest.
Large plains.
One randomly placed very unfinished castle that may or may not be modeled off of Utgard.

If you wish to check out the map for yourself, I often host a server under the name 'SC - Outside The Walls' whilst I'm editing it, so don't be afraid to hop on.
Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Around two years ago I made an expedition map that received a good amount attention, alas I stopped playing and didn't end up releasing it until a few months ago. Going back to that map, it astounds me as to how much effort I recall putting into it given I'd say the effort put into this next map is fairly equal to my memories of constructing its predecessor, despite this one being roughly 14x further in length and around the same in width.

Script will be released when our next map is complete.

Past few weeks, some friends and I have been working on becoming completely independent in our map making, opting to create our own models, creating the map in engine and then porting them in-game rather than the RC map editor. This is one of our first maps, albeit incomplete.

This map requires the use of Expedition Mod, which can be found in many of the AoTTG Expedition Discord servers. I am not personally at liberty to post a direct link to the mod, so I invite community leaders to post invite links to their servers in the comments.

I personally recommend that any large groups or people without reasonably powerful PC's don't run 'Trost Expedition' due to it being known to cause significant performance drops in and around the city, as well as occasional game crashes on lower end systems.

Installation and creation

To install the file, head to your Expedition Mod launcher directory, and follow the folders through to EM_Data, your directory should look something like this: '\ExpMod\ExpeditionMod\ExpMod\EM_Data'. If there is not a folder named CustomMap within EM_Data, then create one with the exact spelling as shown. Open CustomMap and drag your downloaded .unity3d file into the folder, the map is now installed and ready to run. Please ensure that you update via EMLauncher before starting your game to ensure you are on the latest build.

When in-game, create a server using the map Custom or Custom (No PT), then enter the corresponding command below each of the download links. Your game WILL freeze (not responding) from between 1 to 5 minutes on average, depending on the quality of your system. Once the map is loaded, you will need to teleport to the correct location, for both Trost Expedition and Optimized Trost Expedition, typing '/tpto 1 -4428 6179 -4801' will take you directly to the Trost HQ building and '/tpto 1 323 4947 -608' for Trost Standalone will take you to the courtyard. There will be no titan spawns or custom respawn points, all of which can be created using the extremely helpful custom logic introduced by Rice Cake, you can find out more here . Please note that I will not be offering support for the installation of the map, or the creation of servers utilizing the map; every step you need is listed above.

 Post subject: Season 2 Map

Threw together this Season 2 Map in a couple sleepless nights a few months back, there are a good few things I'd change about it, but I'm essentially retired from RC map making, so feel free to do with it as you please. I should also probably note that the large green spikes scattered through the map are supposed to represent foliage whilst keeping performance as high as possible, they look a tad awful if I'm being honest. Last thing to note is that this map was created to run alongside custom logic, so there are no titan spawns and given the maps substantial size, I wouldn't think it wise to fill it with titan spawns, best way to play would probably be with 20-30 spawns scattered through the map with wave mode on, but I'll that's entirely at your discretion.
